The Nomad
Jill Bader Thompson
Jill Bader Thompson loves travel. As a child, her family was often on a road trip or flight to see the greatness of America. From presidents’ homes to ski lodges, beaches to boat docks and everything in-between, her parents did a great job of finding local fame in every place they went.
In college Jill studied abroad in London and embraced the thrill of discovering each and every inch of the city she was in and a new continent to explore. Since then, Jill has been to over 30 countries and most U.S. states. From Tunisia to Texas, Jill embraces the joy of travel through her belief that no matter where you are or what language you speak you can always find a way to connect with the people around you by “speaking the international language of wine, pasta and smiles.” Jill travels with friends, travels for work, travels alone, travels with her family. Her goal in sharing her travel hacks and life tips through online storytelling is to empower others to discover the glory of the everyday.
Jill and her husband David found out they going to be parents in February of 2020, right before the pandemic changed our ability to easily nomad across the world. After the isolation of pregnancy and new motherhood as a result of pandemic, Jill and Dave decided that they would embrace the world of travel with their son William and haven’t looked back since. Her blog and @nashvillenomading instagram page details tips for travel with a toddler and other everyday adventures. Before her son’s second birthday had he already been on 37 flights.
Jill is an entrepreneur. After a lengthy career in marketing and communications for political campaigns, elected officials and global brands, she began consulting for clients across the country through her own company.
